Spring Cleaning Fun Match and Picnic

It was a gorgeous spring day in Southern California, the sky was azure blue and the Havanese came out to enjoy it with their owners and friends. The day was May 10, 2003 and this was the setting at Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim It was the Seventh Fun Match of the Havanese Club of Southern California.

The park was busy from the early morning to late afternoon. Some came early to setup the rings for the judging which was to take place early in the afternoon. Of course, there were plenty of pastries with coffee and orange juice for everyone.

 
 

As the crowd grew, the greetings and welcomes were abundant and everyone set to work to make the day a huge success.

Anna and Biscuit became fast friends and later went on to win a prize. It was Anna's first time in the ring.
 
 

Mark Kolbe, with the assistance of Lisa Estrada and the ever-patient Trixie, gave a brushing demonstration that held a rapt audience. What was that magic potion that Mark recommended? Only those who attended know… and they're not telling!!
